Privacy Policy (GDPR)

1. Controller

The data controller is Aurion Asset Management OÜ (details above). For all privacy matters, including exercising your rights, contact contact@aurionam.com.

2. What we collect and why

• Membership applications: full name, email, country of residence, investor profile, optional motivation text, consent records with timestamp. Purpose: assessing and administering your application and membership. Lawful basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
• Member accounts: email address and authentication events, plus research workspace content you create in Aurion Compass (ideas, dossiers, journal entries, portfolio records). Purpose: providing the service, including multi-device sync. Lawful basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Technical events: minimal client error records (page, error message) to keep the service working. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). No profiling, no marketing use.
• We do not use analytics trackers, advertising cookies, or third-party marketing pixels. The only cookies/storage used are strictly necessary for signed-in member sessions and offline caching on your own device.

3. Where your data lives

Data is stored with Supabase in Zurich, Switzerland. Switzerland benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision (GDPR Art. 45), so no additional transfer mechanism is required for data held there. The website is served by Vercel Inc.; server logs may be processed to deliver the site. Google Workspace may be used internally for administrative exports of non-personal screener data. These providers act as processors under data processing agreements.

4. Retention

Rejected or withdrawn applications are deleted no later than 12 months after decision. Member data is retained for the duration of membership and deleted within 90 days of account closure, except where law requires longer retention. Technical event records are deleted within 90 days.

5. Your rights

You may at any time request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent with future effect. Members can download all of their data and delete their account themselves under Account → Your data; anyone may also email contact@aurionam.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee) or your local supervisory authority.

6. Automated decision-making

Membership decisions are made by a human. No profiling with legal effect is performed.
